Ferrero gets injured in his first match, but it seems he will be able to play at Autrslian Open

In his first match of the season,Juan Carlos got injured in his ankle and everything seemed that he would not be able to be ok for the start of the Australian Open.

However,as he said,he would do everything that he could so that he could recover and play at AO and once he arrived to Melbourne,he did a recovery session and he is now feeling much better and he can walk without pain. This was clearly explained in an interview that the spanish sports magazine Marca did to Antonio Martinez Cascales, where he said that he talked with Juan Carlos and he said to him that inflamation was reducing and that he had no pain, therefore he was much better than expected.

As Juan Carlos sees that he can be able to play,he is at the main draw and he will have some not-so-hard players in the first rounds (such as a player coming from qualies for first round or Rajeev Ram in second round). However,we must go step by step and hope that JC continues his recovery and that he acn move in the court without pain.

Recover soon JC!

Ferrero will play his first match of the year this night against Michael Lammer

This night Ferrero will debute in this new season against an unknown player,Michael Lammer. The match will be played at 23:00 spanish hour (22:00 british hour) and we will be able to see it at BET365 and at planetstream.com,where you only need to register and you will be able to see the match.

Todays Opponent of Juan Carlos,Michael Lammer,is a player form Switzerland that was born 27 years ago.Actually, he in now ranked in the 209th position of the ATP and his best ranking was 150.In the last years his ranking has been very low as he doesnt play lots of matches each season (in 2009 he played 6 ATP matches).Lammer has already played in this year,at Doha, where he lost in the first round of the qualies against Koubek, which means that Juan Carlos should win this match easily, without problems.

Here you have a video where you can see how is the serve and the forehand of Michael Lammer.Good Luck JC!

Great draw for Juan Carlos in Auckland

Juan Carlos must be really happy due to the magnific draw that he has for the first tournament of the season,Auckland. In here,he will be the third seeded player, and he is already in second round as in this tournament, the first four seeded players go directly to second round by Bye.

In the second round,he will play against the winner of a match between two players of the qualies, therefore his first match of the season should not be tough for him.In quarterfinals,in theory he will play against Albert Montañes (8th seeded player and actually 31 in the ATP ranking). In this match he also should win without difficulties and in semis he will probably play against Tommy Robredo or Monaco,a match that clearly will be much difficult than the first ones.In conclusion,Juan Carlos has a great opportunity here to obtain lots of points to improve his ranking and why not starting the season reaching the final.

Once we know who is JC´s opponent,we will analyse him in detail.Good luck JC!
